We are now two games into the season, a tough 3-2 defeat in the FA Cup against Moulton and a 0-0 draw in our first league game at home to Huntingdon Town are now behind us. Our game last week against Deeping was cancelled late, always a frustration to players and management.

Tomorrow we head for Downham Town FC in the first round of the League Cup. Downham are an unknown to us but we will go there to play our game and look to get back to our pre-season form.

There has been more significant movement on the player 'in' front.

We welcome Amy, Yaz, Becky, Eleanor and Keira to the club.

Eleanor and Keira have joined as development players and are new to the game. They will be spending training with both the Ladies and U18 teams as they develop. No pressure ladies, just enjoy your football and your time with us.

Becky is returning to football after a break and her main aim is to return to fitness, unfortunately picking up a thigh strain at this weeks training. Steve and Andy have been impressed with her effort and application though and we look forward to seeing much more of Becky as the season progresses.

Amy grew up in the junior ranks of Netherton United (Peterborough Diamonds) and is a classy and skillful defender. She has taken the last couple of years out to concentrate on work but we are delighted that when she decided to put her boots back on again, it was with us at Netherton.

Finally, our latest signing is Yaz who similarly to Amy has been out of football for the past couple of seasons. A talented striker, Yaz was a part of a very successful age group at Deeping Diamonds and was also a part of the Peterborough United Girls development programme.

On the injury front, Lucy is now receiving physio on her injured ankle and will probably be out for another few weeks, Kerry's knee seems to be improving and apart from Becky mentioned above we are good to go.

The effort during training has been impressive in the last couple of weeks and there were even a couple of 'worldies' in the training match from Tasha and Stacey this week, Boom!!!
